Friend of the site Naomi Pomeroy is taking her restaurant Beast on the move from its current NE Killingsworth location. Rumor has it that she’s eying a space in downtown Portland, and that a full bar could be a part of the move.

In case you missed it, the World Championship Cheese Contest was held this past weeekend. Attendees at this year’s contest were able to sample 15 cheeses, each from a different country. Yeah – we’re kinda sad now that we missed it, too.

A Change de Cuisine
If you enjoy the italian cuisine at Il Piatto, you should probably get there before this Sunday. The owners are planning to change both the name and the concept of the restaurant. Reopening as “The Slide Inn”, it will combine American and German cuisines, with a focus on comfort food.
