The OLCC has approved the state’s first annual liquor license for a food cart. Cartlandia, a food cart pod on 82nd Avenue in Portland, will soon be serving up beer and wine along with its other tasty treats. That is, until Portland city officials find a way to shut it down.

And the Nominees are…
The finalists for this year’s James Beard Awards were announced yesterday in Las Vegas. Not that we’re counting, but….San Francisco and Chicago both garnered 12 nominations, Seattle and Portland each have three, Austin has one nominee and New York has 23 nominations. We’ll have to wait until May 7th to find out who wins but as they always say, just being nominated is an honor.
